I know it is a few weeks away but I have to plan for these sort of things. Besides going to the downtown Nashville fireworks are there any fireworks you would recommend me and my family to attend?

We've gone to the downtown Franklin fireworks, but we were on top of a parking garage and I don't think we picked the best place to watch. I've since heard people say parking out by Mack Hatcher (at Hillsboro) is best.
Last year we went to the fireworks at Crockett Park in Brentwood (after a concert in the amphitheater). They were very good!

We live in Goodlettsville, and we can see the fireworks at Moss Wright Park from the end of our street.
They always put on a good show. It starts around 9 PM and lasts around 20 minutes.
The parks department also has lots of family friendly activities going on throughout the day, too.

Travis Price Park in Springfield has fireworks and other activities. We went last year and had a good time.

We live in the Mt. Juliet area and have been to the fireworks here for the past several years. Mt. Juliet First Baptist Church hosts MANY entertainment booths/events in their HUGE front yard area and you then have a great view of the fireworks. We typically head that way around 6pm, let the kids play at all the booths and bouncy areas and then watch the fireworks close to the bank next to the church. Traffic is a bit of an issue at the end, but no different than anywhere else and less of a hassle than downtown.

lemico,
Thanks for posting this, it sounds like I could walk there from where we live!

Ok, it is settled. BBQ at Wucy's place.. then we all walk to the fireworks. (KIDDING!).
There must be a list somewhere that tells all the locations and times. Has anyone seen one? Surely the paper publishes a list??
This is the first time in 4 years we will be here in town for the 4th. It is a HUGE holiday for my family at our camp in Maine. Having to scramble and figure out who holds fireworks displays, etc. is making me feel completely out of sorts. :(
(end pity party).

It's funny you should say that Mom2M&M - I am having a BBQ here for our church group on the 4th - you're welcome to join us!
As I was driving yesterday, I saw a banner near the interstate that said the Mt Juliet fireworks were going to be held in the Providence Marketplace. I was wondering if they were still having them at MJFBC or if they have moved them this year to Providence or maybe they are having them at both places?

I realize everyone is looking for a fireworks show on 4th of July, however Nashville Shores has a wonderful on July 3rd every year. You can sit on the beach and watch the display. It's $20 a carload this year and you have 2 hours of waterplay included in that. There is also a concert.
Check it out at www.nashvilleshores.com

So far.. this is the best list I have found. Doesn't cover all areas but I am still looking. :)

The fireworks display at Nashville Shores is pretty awesome. My parents take their boat out onto Percy Priest and watch the display.
For the past couple of years, DH and I have been going to LaVergne to a friends house. They put on a fun display that lasts about an hour of pure fireworks.
I hope everyone stays safe, whatever you decide to do!
